OCTOBER 31st HALLOWEEN
With Halloween this week we wanted to send along some information about Halloween at Auburn Bay School.  Halloween is a fun time for us all!  Our goal at school is to have fun, keep everyone safe, and enjoy some learning opportunities too!
Following are the guidelines we need to follow to make sure the day goes well:
•       Costumes are not required.  If your child wants to wear a costume they are welcome to bring the costume in a bag and teachers will have students put their costumes on after lunch. Costumes will be worn all afternoon.
•       Kinder students (both morning and afternoon) wear their costumes to school.
•       Costumes need to be easy to put on and preferably just pulled over clothing.  We have very limited bathroom stalls to change in so it won’t be possible for students to do a full change.
•       Basic costumes only.  Please NO:
          o   Hairspray or hair colour;
          o   Make-up;
          o   Masks;
          o   Weapons;
          o   Other handheld accessories such as wands, hockey sticks etc
Save all of these great accessories and additions to costumes for evening trick-or-treating please!!
•       Candy and treats are not necessary for a fun afternoon.  Please do not send candy or treats.
•       Teachers are planning a fun afternoon of Halloween themed learning activities for students! We are looking forward to everyone enjoying the day!

WE Scare Hunger

We Scare Hunger

Today is the official kick off for We Scare Hunger. Students from the Ambassador Club will be creating a visual for the Hub tomorrow. To simply things (hopefully) we are asking that for each food item that you have donated please count it as one pound. Approximately 125 pounds (or two shopping carts on our visual) will feed a family of four.
