Will take place on Thursday, March 19th, and Friday, March 20th .  Please note the following schedule:

March 19th   

Early Dismissal Day (12:00 PM) for Grades 1-4 

No school for Kindergarten 

Parent Teacher Conferences               4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Grades 1-4
                                                             8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Kindergarten and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

March 20th

No School for all Students 

Parent Teacher Conferences               7:40 AM – 12:00 PM for Grades 1-4 and 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM for Kindergarten 

Please check out the lost and found items in the Hub area (will be donated to charity if not picked up by March 20th  at 12:15PM)

Students Not returning 2020-21 – Reminder  

If you know that your child is not going to be returning to Auburn Bay School for the  2020-2021 school year and you have not notified the school,  we would appreciate an email indicating where your child will be going so we can update our records.  This will help guide our planning for next year's school organization. 
Please email auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca asap if your child is not going to be returning in the fall.

 Parent/Teacher conferences are almost here and we are looking forward to speaking with you about your child and his/her progress that has been made so far this year.

Because we both have had an active role in teaching and observing the growth that your child has made, we once again have decided to set up a separate sign up schedule, outside of Powerschool, for the upcoming interviews. This way we will have the opportunity and the extra time for both of us to meet with you all.

If your child is away this week and next week, please check the blog for what we have been working on in math. We currently have learned the Area Model, Traditional Model and Base-ten Method for Multiplication. This week we will be starting Division. Please check the Math section of the blog for the methods that we have been learning.

To acknowledge Auburn Bay School’s participation in Pink Shirt Day tomorrow, February 26, and to continue the fight against bullying, students and staff will be encouraged to wear something pink. Pink became the color for standing up to bullying when two students in Nova Scotia stood up to bullying in their high school.  A student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school and these students showed their support for him by buying pink shirts and encouraging other students to wear them. 

Thank you for helping us to create an environment that is safe and supportive. Together we can make a difference.
